Preparing for the exam
You need to take the 2 day CSM training
I took the 2 day training offered in my company , the training provider was 12principles (www.12principles.in).
The trainer Mr.Naveen was good.
Well you can just pass the exam if you follow the training closely.

Read the Scrum guide thoroughly as most questions are from this, in addition be familiar with Agile Manifesto , 12 agile priniciples and the Agile Values

Taking the EXAM
After the completion of the two day course, you will receive an initial welcome email from Scrum Alliance that contains the account activation link, you will have 90 days to complete the CSM test for free. Students are also given two free attempts to pass the CSM test. If you fail the test twice or complete it after 90 days, you will be prompted to pay a $25 USD test attempt fee.The exam is not proctored, ie you don't need to schedule a slot at a prometric center. You can take it from home or office.
About the EXAM
The CSM test contains 50 multiple-choice questions based on the CSM Learning Objectives,and candidates will have one hour to complete it. The passing score is 74%. You will not be able to pause the test,but questions can be bookmarked to answer later during the 60 minute time limit.
Its fairly easy to pass, if you have studied the scrum guide
